What is an IP address?
An IP address is the number your network uses to identify your connection on the internet. Every website you visit sees it, the same way a letter carries a return address.
The address shown above is your public IP, assigned by your internet provider. It reveals your approximate city and provider, not your street, name or device. MyIPSpot reads it to show it back to you, and keeps nothing.
